ABOUT Heritage Stewardship Ministries. . .
Where Faith Meets Structured Wellness Stewardship
Helping People Live Faithfully With What God Has Entrusted to Them
Heritage Stewardship Ministries exists around a simple conviction:
Everything we have ultimately belongs to God, and faithful stewardship touches the whole of life.
Our bodies matter.
So do our relationships, responsibilities, abilities, resources, opportunities, influence, and the legacy our lives help create.
That’s why we believe health should be understood within something larger than health itself.
We want to help people care responsibly for their health so they are increasingly able to participate in the life God has entrusted to them.
- Not in pursuit of perfection.
- Not out of fear.
- Not because health is the highest good.
But because stewardship matters.
OUR VIEW OF STEWARDSHIP
Faithfulness, Not Perfection
Stewardship begins with recognizing that what we possess is ultimately something we have received.
That changes the question.
Instead of asking:
“How can I create the perfect life?”
we can begin asking:
“How can I faithfully care for what God has placed in my hands?”
That question reaches far beyond health.
It can shape how we care for our bodies, use our abilities, nurture relationships, respond to responsibilities, navigate changing seasons, serve other people, and prepare what we will eventually leave behind.
Faithful stewardship isn’t about controlling every outcome. It is about responding responsibly to what has been entrusted to us.
WHY HEALTH MATTERS
Your Body Is Part of Your Stewardship — Not the Whole of Your Identity
Health can affect our capacity to work, serve, learn, create, participate in relationships, enjoy life, and fulfill everyday responsibilities.
For that reason, caring for the body matters.
But HSM does not believe health should become an idol, an obsession, or a measure of spiritual worth.
- Bodies change.
- Circumstances change.
- Abilities change.
And faithful stewardship will not look identical for every person or every season of life.
Our goal is therefore not to manufacture an idealized version of wellness.
It is to encourage responsible care within the reality of the life each person has actually been given.
SCRIPTURE REMAINS OUR AUTHORITY
Ministry Must Remain Under God’s Word
Heritage Stewardship Ministries is a Christian ministry.
Scripture provides the governing authority for our understanding of stewardship, human dignity, responsibility, wisdom, relationships, service, and faithful living.
- Educational resources can help.
- Teachers can help.
- Technology can help.
- Communities can help.
- The Temple Guide can help.
But none of them replaces the authority of God’s Word.
We want everything we create to remain in its proper place.
Resources serve formation. Technology serves ministry. Ministry serves people. And ministry remains accountable to Scripture.
HOW WE APPROACH FORMATION
Learn. Practice. Reflect. Grow. Live.
Information alone rarely produces lasting formation.
People need opportunities to understand, practice, reflect, adjust, connect what they’re learning to everyday life, and continue growing over time.
That’s why HSM is designed as more than a collection of information.
Within the ministry you may encounter:
- Courses that help develop understanding.
- Programs and practical resources that help translate learning into action.
- Movement experiences that encourage responsible physical participation.
- Communities that provide opportunities for appropriate human connection.
- Reflections and resources that encourage continued growth.
The Temple Guide when thoughtful conversation would help you discern where you are or find an appropriate next step.
None of these is intended to become the center of your life.
They exist to equip you for the life beyond them.
MINISTRY BUILT AROUND HUMAN DIGNITY
You Are a Person to Be Served, Not a Problem to Be Solved
We believe responsible ministry should respect the dignity, responsibility, freedom, circumstances, and limitations of the people it serves.
That means we don’t want to manufacture problems simply so we can offer solutions.
- We don’t believe everyone needs every resource.
- We don’t assume that more content always produces better formation.
And we don’t want technology to create dependence where human responsibility and relationships should remain.
- Sometimes the right next step is another resource.
- Sometimes it is continued practice.
- Sometimes it is a conversation with someone you trust.
- Sometimes it is professional help.
- Sometimes it is rest.
And sometimes you already know what you need to do.
Good ministry should help people become more capable of faithful stewardship — not more dependent upon the ministry.
TECHNOLOGY IN ITS PROPER PLACE
Useful Servant. Poor Master.
HSM uses technology because it can make learning, reflection, resources and connection more accessible.
But technology does not define this ministry.
Even The Temple Guide — our conversational ministry companion—has a deliberately bounded role.
- It can help you reflect.
- It can help you understand.
- It can help you navigate HSM.
- It can help you consider possible next steps.
But it cannot assume spiritual authority, make your decisions for you, replace appropriate human relationships, or become responsible for your life.
Technology should expand our ability to serve people without diminishing what it means to be human.
FROM HEALTH TO HERITAGE
Stewardship Is Larger Than the Present Moment
The name Heritage Stewardship Ministries reflects something important about our mission.
Faithful stewardship affects more than today.
- What we learn can influence our families.
- The habits we practice can shape our homes.
- The wisdom we develop can be shared.
- The relationships we nurture can strengthen others.
- The way we use our abilities and resources can serve purposes beyond ourselves.
- And the things we faithfully cultivate today can become part of what we leave behind tomorrow.
Heritage isn’t merely what we inherit.
It is also what our stewardship helps prepare for those who come after us.
OUR DESIRE FOR YOU
We hope Heritage Stewardship Ministires helps you become more thoughtful without becoming overwhelmed.
- More responsible without becoming fearful.
- More capable without becoming self-reliant.
- More informed without believing information alone is enough.
- More attentive to your health without allowing health to consume your life.
- And more prepared to faithfully steward whatever God has placed in your hands.
There is no single pathway every participant must follow.
There is simply an invitation:
- Receive what has been entrusted to you with gratitude.
- Care for it with wisdom.
- Use it faithfully.
And allow your stewardship to bless lives beyond your own.
