The Temple Guide
What Is The Temple Guide?
A Thoughtful Companion for Your Stewardship Journey
Your health and life are not problems to solve. They are gifts to steward faithfully.
The Temple Guide is a conversational ministry companion from Heritage Stewardship Ministries designed to help you reflect, learn, find your way through available resources, and take thoughtful next steps in caring for what God has entrusted to you.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
Come as you are. Begin where you are. Take the next faithful step.
YOU DON’T NEED ANOTHER LIST OF — EVERYTHING YOU SHOULD BE DOING
Health information can become overwhelming.
Exercise. Nutrition. Rest. Stress. Habits. Relationships. Spiritual formation. Courses. Programs. Articles. Videos.
Even good resources can become another burden when you don’t know what matters most right now.
The Temple Guide offers a different starting point.
Instead of beginning with everything available, it begins with you and the question you are bringing today.
Through a thoughtful conversation, the Guide can help you slow down, consider your present circumstances, explore relevant stewardship principles, and find resources within Heritage Stewardship Ministries when they would genuinely be useful.
- Sometimes that may lead to a program, movement resource, course, community, or article.
- Sometimes the most helpful outcome may simply be greater clarity about your next step.
A Conversation Before A Recommendation
Begin With What Matters Today
You might arrive wondering:
- Where should I begin?
- How can I become more consistent?
- Which Heritage Stewardship Ministries resources might help me?
- I haven’t been doing very well lately. How do I begin again?
- What might a faithful next step look like in this season of my life?
- Can you help me think through something I’m struggling with?
You don’t need to choose the right category before you begin.
Simply start the conversation.
The Temple Guide is designed to listen to the question you are actually asking before helping you consider what may be useful next.
Scripture Remains The Authority
The Guide Is a Companion — Not Your Spiritual Authority
The Temple Guide can help you explore biblical principles, reflect on Scripture, organize your thoughts, and even help you put a prayer into words.
But it does not speak for God.
It does not receive revelation about you, determine God’s unrevealed will for your life, or replace Scripture, prayer, the work of the Holy Spirit, your church, or trusted human relationships.
When Scripture is quoted, the Temple Guide uses the English Standard Version (ESV) by default.
Its role is much simpler: to help you think faithfully, steward responsibly, and move forward with greater clarity while preserving your responsibility before God.
Your Journey Doesn’t Have To Be Linear?
There may be seasons when you are growing steadily and others when life interrupts your plans.
- You may begin something and stop.
- You may return months later.
- You may discover that what mattered in one season is no longer what needs your attention today.
That is why The Temple Guide is designed around your present reality, not an expectation that everyone follows the same path.
You can return to the conversation, reconsider where you are, and continue from there.
There is no requirement to manufacture progress simply to keep moving through a system.
Stewardship is a journey of faithful responsiveness, not a race through content.
Built Around Stewardship, Not Perfection
Heritage Stewardship Ministries approaches health through the larger biblical calling of stewardship.
- We believe your body matters.
- Your choices matter.
- Your relationships matter.
- Your responsibilities matter.
- Your spiritual formation matters.
But faithful stewardship is not the pursuit of flawless performance.
It is learning to faithfully care for what God has entrusted to you within the reality of your present life.
That means the next appropriate step will not always be the biggest step.
- Sometimes stewardship means beginning.
- Sometimes it means continuing.
- Sometimes it means simplifying.
- Sometimes it means returning after getting off track.
- Sometimes it means recognizing that you have learned enough to move forward without needing another resource.
The Temple Guide is designed to support that kind of responsible, sustainable growth.
When A Resource Would Help
Heritage Stewardship Ministries contains a growing environment of stewardship experiences, programs, courses, movement resources, educational materials, community opportunities, and practical tools.
The Temple Guide can help you navigate that environment without requiring you to search through everything yourself.
- When an available resource genuinely fits the conversation, the Guide can help you find it.
- When several resources exist, it should favor the smallest useful next step rather than overwhelming you with options.
And when no additional resource is necessary, the conversation does not need to manufacture one.
The goal isn’t to consume more content.
The goal is to become a more faithful steward.
Some Decisions Still Belong With People
The Temple Guide is educational and supportive, but there are important boundaries to its role.
Medical diagnosis and individualized treatment decisions belong with qualified healthcare professionals.
Pastoral matters may call for your pastor, church leadership, or another trusted Christian.
Serious emotional or mental-health concerns may require an appropriate qualified professional.
Account, access, or technical problems belong with Heritage Stewardship Ministries support.
And some decisions simply require the wisdom that comes through prayer, Scripture, trusted relationships, and your own responsible judgment.
The Temple Guide should help you recognize those boundaries rather than trying to replace the people you need.
